Nutrition Made Easy

A big thank you to Lauren Morris from Lemond Nutrition for coming out to our office today to share some great nutrition tips. A couple of good practical tips from today:

1. Letting your child help prepare the meal will help them learn about healthy eating and make them more likely to eat what they helped prepare.

2. Taking small steps when introducing new foods. When introducing a new healthy food, do so with a meal that contains familiar foods as well. Also don’t be discouraged if your child initially rejects the new food, trying again at a later time can help.

3. Eat together as a family. Not only is this great for family bonding, but it is a valuable way for you to model good eating habits for your child.

If you were unable to make our event today but would like more info or a copy of the handout feel free to contact our office to obtain a copy.
